Port of Alaska Modernization Program’s Advisory Board consists of five members appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the Anchorage Assembly. Anchorage Municipal Code 11.50.035 governs the PAMP Advisory Board and says, “the board shall advise the mayor to propose for adoption by the assembly design criteria in basis-of-design documents to govern additional cargo and fuels infrastructure at the Port of Alaska.” The board is advisory to the mayor and assembly.

Design Advisory Board meetings are open to the public. They are generally held in Port of Alaska’s administrative office at 1871 Anchorage Port Road and can be attended virtually via Microsoft Teams. Meeting times and virtual participation log-in information is published with public meeting notices.

Next Meeting
February 10, 2026 – 8am-9am: The next Port of Alaska Modernization Program Advisory Board (PAB) meeting is scheduled live at the third-floor conference room in the Don Young Port of Alaska administrative office at 1871 Anchorage Port Road. Members and others may participate virtually via Microsoft Teams. Please send an email with the words “PAB Meeting” in the subject line to PortOfAlaska@anchorageak.gov before 5 pm on Monday, February 9, 2026 to request an email meeting invitation with call-in phone number and log-in information. Don Young Port of Alaska is a secure facility that follows U.S. Department of Homeland Security protocol. All visitors (including meeting participants) must show a government-issued photo ID at the port security gate. Firearms, ammunition, fireworks, and other explosive devices are prohibited inside of the port security perimeter. All vehicles are subject to random security screening. Meeting agenda and information packet will be available to download prior to the meeting.
